I am a foodie.
This whole thing started when people ask me for recipes 2, 6, 12 months later about that one dinner that they had at my place. Needless to say, I had forgotten all about it. So, I started a blog where I posted my recipes. I could just post the recipes and instead of hand written notes, just send them to my blog. To my suprise, I had a lot of recipes.
At age 38, I was diagnosed with arthritis. At the time I was at my most active, ideal weight and at peak performance. But underneath all that were some unhealthy eating habbits. So, unhappy with the diagnosis, I consulted with a specialist and got on medication and stabilized my arthritis. However, I was not happy with the idea of being medicated for the rest of my life. After doing my own research. I started the journey of eliminating inflamatory foods from my diet, till I became vegan, and ended up off medications completely. Here's a video I made about my experience:
What's with the name?
I am a fan of Douglas Adams' book The hitchickers guide to the galaxy. In the book, 42 is the answer to life, universe and everything. My website is the a take on that, my vision being to create a website on vegan life, universe and everything.....
For a while, I hosted a monthly cooking class at my home. It was a fun time, and excuse for me to cook, and enjoy delicious meals with like minded folks. Of couse, COVID put an end to many gatherings, including mine. The meetup link to where the sessions were announce is here:
Going forward, Mighty networks etc.
I am not hosting the cooking classes right now, but am open to doing so going forward. I used to host this website on Mighty Network, but they changed their policy, and were sending me some strange emails. I deplatformed from them, and created this website. I am preserving all the older recipes and will be posting new ones here.
