Excellent side or starter. Pretty, easy to make and delicious!
One of the common complaints I get from new Vegans is that they miss cheese. While vegan cheeses can be good for cooking with, they don't replace the "cheese course. I found that just preparing cheeses using this trick I learned from an Argentinian friend makes vegan cheeses so much tastier. If you are a vegan that misses cheese, this one is for you.
Ingredients:
One package Daiya Monterey jack cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil
oregano flakes to taste
Steps:
Split the cheese block into two, to form two thinner blocks. Place in a baking dish, add oil and oregano on top, bake at 450 for 10 minutes. Serve hot.
Notes:
This can be made with any hard style cheese. It's a great starter, served with crackers.
