Vegan Besan Laddoo

Laddoos are one of my favrite Indina dessert. This is my vegan version.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups chickpea flour

  • 2 cups powdered sugar

  • 1 cup vegan butter

Steps:

Saute flour on medium heat without any oil, stirring constantly, till cooked.  The flour starts smelling nutty and changes color slightly.  Add the vegan butter, and sugar, and remove from the heat.  Depending on the amount of water in your vegan butter, you may have to add some more.  The mixture should be easy to clump.  Cool the mixture and then form into balls.

Notes:

This is a simple recipe, however, required a bit of attention so as not to burn the flour.  You can add some chopped nuts as a garnish to the dessert.
